Google Earth Features

    Each of these are already installed in your Google Earth program.  You just need to select them from Layers (bottom left)

  1. Geographic Web: Panoramio (blue dots) & Wikipedia (purple dots)

    • Rumsey Historical Maps: http://www.davidrumsey.com/index.html
    • Discovery Earth: Turn on the layer, select a site, double click, and link to video.  Try Rome for example.  I want to be Samantha Brown!

Contrubute to Google Earth

             Upload pictures (similiar to Flickr) and they will be placed on Google Earth (for you immediately, for others a "month" or so).
  • Create Placemarks - For yourself or to share.

    1. Choose a Placemark Type
    2. Add information in the Description section.
    3. Hyperlinks within the placemark to videos, websites, etc.
    4. Pictures: <img src="http://www.fbi.gov/libref/historic/famcases/floyd/floyd.jpg">
    5. Horizontal Line: <hr>.
